In addition, the employer’s or the applicant’s registered company’s annual income must be at least 50,000 GEL for each foreigner applying for the permit. (This condition does not apply to educational or medical institutions.)
Study Residence Permit
This type of permit is issued to foreigners who come to Country Georgia to study at an authorized educational institution.
Residence Permit for Family Reunification
This permit is issued to family members of a foreigner who already holds a residence permit in Country Georgia.
Permanent Residence Permit
This permit is issued to the spouse of a Georgian citizen, their underage child, or the parent of an underage Georgian citizen.
A Permanent Residence Permit can also be granted to a foreigner who has legally lived in Country Georgia with a Temporary Residence Permit for the last 10 years
Short-Term Residence Permit
This permit is issued to a foreigner who owns real estate in Country Georgia, following the legal procedures set by Georgian law.
The market value of the property must exceed the equivalent of 100,000 USD in Georgian Lari. This permit can also be granted to the foreigner’s spouse and children
Investment Residence Permit
This permit is issued to a foreigner — and their family members — who has either:
- Made an investment of at least 300,000 USD (or its equivalent in Georgian Lari) in accordance with Georgian law, or
- Owns real estate in Country Georgia with a market value exceeding 300,000 USD (in Lari equivalent).
